Part 1: 7 Ways to Maximize your Single Season
#1. Build a Solid Relationship with God
As a single woman, have you settled in with God yet? Are you okay with it being you and Him right now?
To be honest, I go back and forth. Some days I’m settled, other days I’m thinking the grass is greener on the side of the married.
I believe God understands our emotions, our desires and our needs. We just have to continue to surrender them to Him every day. Especially when they are intense and out of control.
In your moments of vulnerability, do you self-medicate, self-care, zone out or go out with friends? If you do, it is totally normal. As a human, we all have that default button of protecting ourselves anyway possible. Adam and Eve did it, along with so many others in the bible.
It is okay to take care of yourself or have a fun night out, but God would like to tag along with you when you do so. He wants to be our place of rest and someone we can vent to throughout our day. He loves to hear from you. Sometimes I talk to God so much throughout the day I think I need to put my phone to my ear so I won’t look strange LOL.
God is so good that He will lighten the load that you are carrying and make things right for you so you can bear this season of your life.
God protects us, rescues us, provides for us and shapes us intently according to His perfect will.
Eve had a time where God was fashioning her and He took His time. God is not in a rush to train us, mold us and make us ready for our purpose. He is diligent in watering us and pruning us to ensure our fruit will last.
Don’t you want a fruitful life and marriage? Then don’t give up on your dreams and desires. Don’t wait for someone else to tell you how worthy you are and how beautiful you are. Walk with your head up, knowing God is with you.
God’s love is better than anything this world can provide (Psalm 63:3). Once you know this, God can trust you with more. Don’t give your life to worthless things and fleeting moments of pleasure. Surrender yourself to God and His Kingdom. Be a woman of complete abandonment to God. A woman who risks it all for the things of God.
God says delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).
